Well done for another great week, Owls! It was lovely to meet lots of you at Parents' Evening this week.
In maths, we have now started our new unit of work: Addition and Subtraction. This week, we recapped our number bonds to 10. Can you complete your number bonds to 10 below?

We then looked at fact families. A Fact Family is a collection of related addition and subtraction facts, made from the same numbers. For example, for the numbers 7, 8, and 15, the addition/subtraction fact family consists of 7 + 8 = 15, 8 + 7 = 15, 15 - 8 = 7, 15 - 7 = 8. Show someone at home what you can do:

In topic, we have been learning about the Industrial Revolution during the 1800s when lots of factories were built. Lots of people moved to the city to live. We looked at the jobs people had during this time and the advantages and disadvantages of the Industrial Revolution. Can you remember any of these?
On Thursday, we had an exciting morning first aid training. We learnt what to do in an emergency, how to wrap a bandage and make a sling, and how to save someone from choking. What was your favourite part? Take a look at our pictures below...
