Changing the colour of a flower experiment
We turned some white flowers blue! We added blue food colouring to the water and waited patiently over a few hours. We learned that the flower sucks the water up through the stem and then to the leaves and petals. We could see how the flower does this by watching as the blue dye was sucked up the stem and onto the petals. turning them blue. The children were really excited to see this.
