WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

SATs Information

As you may be aware, in previous years, both Year 2 and Year 6 have had compulsory assessments (SATs) to complete during the summer term. SATs are standardised assessment tests administered by primary schools in England to check their educational progress. However, as of last year, 2024, these assessments are no longer compulsory for Key Stage 1 (Year 2). Instead, schools are given the Year 2 SATs assessment papers during the summer term and may be administrated at a time that suits the school.

At Repton Primary School, we will be using these assessment papers to support teacher assessment only. The children will be given some or all of these papers during June 2025. These will consist of two reading papers and two maths papers (arithmetic and reasoning).

If you would like more information about SATs or any examples of the papers, please see the information below. However, please note that some information has changed as they are no longer compulsory.
