For our English lessons, we follow a scheme called Talk 4 Writing. This is a three-stage scheme whereby children learn a text (imitate), change features of the text (innovate) and create their own version using language and vocabulary from the text (invent). Below is a PDF which explains the scheme and the process that we follow at Repton.
Alongside this, we will also be teaching SPAG lessons throughout the year. These lessons will help children with building sentences, spelling and understanding components of sentences.
