WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

05.12.2025

This week in Maths, we have looking at multiplying by 100 and dividing by both 10 and 100. We then used related facts to help us with our multiplication where we used our knowledge on multiplying and dividing by powers of 10 to make this easier for ourselves.

In English, we have continued with our learning on descriptive writing. We have planned what we can see, feel, smell, touch and taste in the Viking village. We have done some descriptive writing together as a whole class and then we have all had a go at writing our own descriptions of the Viking village in the first person, as if were were walking through the village ourselves. It has been so wonderful to see the children pull together their learning from topic to support them with this. Lots of fantastic ideas!

In topic, we have started to create a double page spread where we have presented lots of the learning that we have done on the Vikings this term. We have been really creative with these and the children have been able to present the information how they would like to.

On Thursday, we were so lucky to be able to watch the Robin's perform their nativity. Next Tuesday, we have got our panto in school and next Wednesday, we will be walking to the 400 Hall to watch the KS1 children perform. Next Thursday is our Christmas jumper and Christmas dinner day so it is a busy, festive week next week!
