Wow we have had another fantastic week in Foxes class!
This week in Maths, Year 4 have been continuing with their addition and subtraction unit. All of the children mastered adding two 4-digit numbers together, using column method, including exchanges. Subtraction has been a little trickier, so we have been taking our time with this. Again, we have been using the column method, using two 4-digit numbers. Year 5 have started their multiplication topic, they have been looking at multiples, factors and prime numbers! They will continue with this next week.
In English, the children have been doing a lot of preparation for writing their newspaper reports next week. We have planned out what we will report on and how we will organise our paragraphs. We have some fantastic ideas for headlines and newspaper names.
In Topic, we have made and tasted chocolate from Maya times! Read our mixed reviews below!
We have also been getting a bit messy with papier mâché. We have covered our milk bottle masks, ready to decorate these next week! This is a lovely way to complete our Maya topic. Thank you again for the milk bottles and newspaper.
Have a lovely weekend!
