We have had another super week in Foxes class this week! In English, we have continued our work on biographies, researching a significant individual from WWII to write our biographies about. The children have really enjoyed this. We have planned out our paragraphs ready for writing next week. We have also completed some grammar work on pronouns – the children were really good at this! 
 
In Maths, Year 4 have been learning all about area! They have developed a really good understanding of the concept and had lots of fun on Thursday as they designed their own Minecraft character and background using squared paper! Year 5 have started their new unit on fractions, they looked at unit and non-unit fractions, equivalent fractions and converting mixed numbers to improper fractions and vice versa. 
 
In Science, we have been busy testing whether materials were soluble or insoluble using water. In RE we completed our unit by answering our big question ‘Does God exist?’ the children looked at some different viewpoints and then wrote their own analysis, supported by their own beliefs. 

It was ‘Anti-bullying Week’ this week. We discussed how we can show respect in different areas of our lives and we loved our wearing our colourful socks for ‘Odd Socks Day’ on Tuesday!
