We have continued our work on Biographies this week. The children have researched someone from WWII to write their biography about. They have really enjoyed this. We have planned out our paragraphs ready for writing next week. We have also completed some grammar work on pronouns.
In Maths, we have started our unit of fractions, we looked at unit and non unit fractions, equivalent fractions and converting mixed numbers to improper fractions and vice versa.
In Science, we have been busy testing whether materials were soluble or insoluble using water. We have been discussing online health in computing and creating posters to help people create online healthy habits. In RE we started on our unit on Islam and recapped what we knew and what we want to find out. A big week for PSHE as it is ‘Anti-bullying Week’. We discussed how we can respect in different areas of our lives and we loved our colourful socks for ‘Odd Socks Day’ on Tuesday!
We had a supply teacher on Thursday and Friday as Mrs P was not very well, but we still did lots of great work as we usually would, including participating in activities linked to Children in Need.
