We have made it to the end of the penultimate term break! The children have worked incredibly hard during this short term, and I am so proud of them. Look below to find out what we have been doing this week.
Maths
In our Maths learning, we have been learning all about numbers up to 100. We started the week by partitioning numbers into tens and ones, using part-whole models. There is a really fun game to help count numbers up to 100 in the game below;

We then looked at where we can put numbers up to 100 on a number line. We even had a practise at estimating where numbers belonged on a number line which was quite challenging! We played a really fun game to practise estimating the numbers, which I have provided a link below - the children loved it!

Here are some pictures of us building numbers to 100!
English
In our English learning this week, we have been continuing our work on writing a diary entry using the stimulus 'Adventures are the Pits'. This week, we have focused on using adjectives to describe feelings and objects. We then wrote a practise diary entry using the time conjunctions "after that" and "finally". By the end of the week, the children planned their own diary entry of their own time at soft play, ready to write after the half-term.
DT
This week, we have done another DT project! Related to our science topic of seasons and weather, the children have designed and produced their own moveable windmills. The children did not create a windmill for themselves, but instead designed a windmill based off their friend's interests. The children worked really hard to plan out their drawing, and then create a base, a tube and a moveable fan. Here are their creations below!
Phonics
This week in our Phonics we have been revising the ow, ue, ue and ew digraphs. Please use the Time to Read sheets to practise these sounds.
I have also included some sheets below to practise over the half-term to help your child practise their blending in preparation for the Phonics Screening Check.

Have a lovely half-term break and I am looking forward to seeing you back for our final term together!
