We have had a very busy week in Kingfishers! Read below to see what we have been up to...
English
As it was World Book Day on Thursday we completed 'book-inspired' activities this week. We started off the week by creating a book cover based off a blurb. Our book of the week was 'Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief.' The children created some fantastic covers based off this blurb and really used their imaginations.
Later on in the week, we looked at how Camp-Half Blood is depicted in the book and the children looked at how they could recreate a setting description using their imaginations.
Maths
We have been looking at measuring using millilitres and litres. We have compared different amounts and discussed how many ml are equivalent to a certain amount of L.
World Book Day
We had a great day decorating potatoes as book characters and reading our favourite books!
