We have had a very busy this week! We have been completing our Spring Term assessments and these will all be finished by next Monday.
In our English lessons, we have been continuing with our persuasive letters of complaint. Everyone has thought really carefully about their points and then how to expand and fully explain them. We have been making sure to keep our writing in the formal tone and I think that the end results are very persuasive.
We had so much fun celebrating reading and books on Thursday. We thought about our class book - Varjak Paw and we had to write him a letter to persuade him to either stay in the house or to venture outside. We took part in a silent debate and for our first one, it went really well and everyone was so thoughtful! We then created a character battle (top trump style) and we have a lot of fun battling it out with each other to prove how well we knew our chose characters. The masked reader activity the Mr Armishaw created was a lot of fun and we liked guess who each of the readers were. Our wooden spoon turned out brilliantly too and everyone was so proud of their creations!
Homework this week is linked to multiplication tables.
