This week in Maths, we have been using formal methods for multiplication and division. We have been using the column method for multiplication. We started by working out 2 digits x 1 digit and then we moved on to look at 3 digit x 1 digit. We then looked at using the short division method. We started by looking at 2 digit divided by 1 digit where there were no remainders and then we looked at what to do when there are remainders.
In English, we have edited and written up our Viking Village descriptions and then we have done some extra work on our whole class reading. We are hooked and really hope to get the book finished in time for the holidays!
In Topic, we have completed our double page spreads. These look fantastic! We have also spent some time drawing a Viking longship.
We have really enjoyed the pantomime, the KS1 nativity and our Christmas dinner day this week.
Next week, we have the church service and our class Christmas party to look forward to!
