The Otters have all settled back in well over these last couple of weeks. Thank you so much to those of you who sent in pictures from the snow day. We really enjoyed looking at them and sharing what we got up to.
In Maths this week, we have been converting kilometres into metres and metres into kilometres. We have found the perimeter of shapes on grids and we have also looked at how to work out the perimeter of squares and rectangles. This is what our homework is based on for this week.
In English over the last couple of weeks, we have been reading a book called Ice Palace which is our stimulus for this unit of work. We have been looking at preposition phrases, direct speech and we have started to think about the features of a newspaper report. We have had a go at writing the headline and the introductory paragraph of a newspaper report.
In topic, we have identified Sweden on both a world map and a map of Europe. We have also looked at and labelled other countries in Europe.
In PE, we have been working on our individual and partner balances. We have been working really hard to try and tense our muscles to help us to hold our balances for at least 5 seconds.
