WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

17.10.2025

This week in English, we have continued to write our non-chronological reports all about the dragons that we created last week. We have written our paragraphs about their appearance and their habitat. We will be continuing with these next week.

In Maths, we have completed our unit on addition and subtraction. We have learnt about how we can use rounding to help us to estimate answers. We have also looked at using the inverse operation to help us to check our answers.

In topic, we have looked at the jobs and the beliefs of Anglo Saxons and in PSHE, we have looked at what is meant by discrimination. We have linked our "Being Me" learning to Black History Month by looking at Rosa Parks and how she fought for equality in a time where people were discriminated against because of the colour of their skin.

In Sicence, we have looked at food chains. We have discussed producers and consumers, predators and prey and also carnivores, omnivores and herbivores. We had a go at writing some food chains for animals from different habitats.

Just a reminder that it is the Harvest Service on Monday at St Wystan's church at 10am. We would love to see you there if you can make it. We would also very much appreciate your help if you are available to walk down with us.
