We have had a fun and very colourful final full week in Otters! We have been busy preparing for our space showcase throughout the week and this has very much been the priority in our English and DT lessons this week.
We have still had lots of Maths to complete this week, with Year 5 completing some extra lessons. Year 5 have been looking at negative numbers and we have been so impressed with their understanding. We have been comparing, ordering and finding the difference where negative numbers are involved. We have some lessons on measurement to complete over the next few days so that we will all be ready for Year 6. In Year 4, we have been looking at 2D shapes and translations on grids.
We have been space crazy this week and having been completing our DT projects and our space artwork, which we are very excited to show you on Friday! We have also finished our data handling unit by creating binary codes, allocating letters to the 0 and 1 computer language!
We very much enjoyed the colour run yesterday. You can find some pictures from the afternoon below. We also just wanted to say a huge thank you for all of your support with our space showcase on Friday. It was so lovely to see so many of you and it meant so much to the children to show you all of the hard work that they put into their project, which they were all so proud of!
Have a lovely weekend everyone before the final week of the school year!
