This week in English, we have finished reading "Ice Palace" and we have planned our newspaper reports. We have started to write these today and there were so many super ideas for headlines. We need to keep remembering that it is a newspaper report that we are writing and we are not just re-telling the story so we have done lots of work on this. The homework this week is to have a go at writing a short newspaper report that is inspired by the image.
In Maths, we have continued with our learning on perimeter. We have looked at how we can use given information to work out the missing lengths. We have also been working out the perimeter of both regular and irregular polygons. We know that for a polygon to be regular, it must have the same length sides and the same sized angles.
In topic, we have located Stockholm, the capital city of Sweden, on the map. We have also started to think about human and physical features in Geography. We linked this to our learning on Sweden by sorting some of the different features of Sweden.
