Only one week left to go!
Maths
This week we have been continuing to develop our knowledge of addition and subtraction using the column method. We have started to subtract 3 digit numbers from each other, using an exchange. We then developed our fluency further by tackling reasoning problems.
English
This week we completed our 'Big Writes' on a set of instructions in which the children wrote on how to build a Mesolithic shelter. They worked hard to include the discussed features such as: time adverbials, imperative verbs and adverbs.
We have now moved onto our new topic... biographies! The first person we are going to be looking at is Jane Goodall. The children researched information about Jane Goodall's life for our writing next week.
Science
In Science we have been looking at how fossils are formed. We looked at how we could make connections between our prior learning of rocks and fossils. They could identify how sedimentary rock are formed from fossils. The children were able to order the events of how fossils are formed.
Have a great weekend!
