Maths
This week we finished our multiplication topic and completed our end of topic assessment. We then moved onto looking at how we could use the column method to multiply 2-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers. The children chose which chilli question they wanted to start on and worked hard to complete these.
English
We have continued reading 'The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe' and have been looking at different ways to describe characters in the story. We met Edmund and discussed our first impressions of him and why he was described as 'spiteful.' We then delved deeper into the character the White Witch, and looked at how we could describe her appearance and personality, and whether to two contrasted each other.
