Find out below what we have been learning about this week.
Maths
In our Maths learning, we have been learning about how to find one more and one less of numbers up to 20, and how to use a number line to identify numbers up to 20. Here are some challenges you can have a go at home!
Can you find one more and one less than these numbers?

English
In our English learning, we have started our new genre of writing which is journey writing. We have continued with our story of Zahra and we started by learning that some stories are written in the past tense. When they are written in the past tense, the verbs change and we add the suffix 'ed' to the end of many verbs to change them into the past tense. We then wrote some sentences about the story of Zahra using these words. Here are some verbs below. Can you change these to the past tense by adding -ed? Are there any words that we have to add or change a letter when adding -ed?

Geography
In our Geography, we have been learning about physical and human features of Kenya. We learnt that physical features are areas that are natural and are not made by humans. Human features are areas that are made by humans. Here are some Kenyan landmarks and areas below. Can you tell your grown-up which ones are physical and which ones are human features?

Phonics
In our Phonics, we have been learning lots of different graphemes of the /or/ phoneme. We recapped the or digraph, the ore trigraph and the aw digraph (Mr Armishaw's favourite digraph!) Please use the Monster Phonics booklets to recap any sounds learned this week.
Spellings for dictation next week;
Have a lovely weekend!
