Week 4 -26.1.26

Well done for another super week, Owls!

 

In our daily Math lessons, we looked at 'division'. We have been doing this through 'grouping'. We have been putting items into equal groups and calculating how many groups we have made. We then used this information to write a division sentence.

In our English lessons this week, we have been learning about non-chronological reports. These are fact sheets that don't have to be written in a specific order. We looked at the features and practiced our new topic words. Learning these "expert" words will help us when we start planning our own reports on our chosen Australian animal next week!

 

Finally, in our topic lessons, we created our own dot paintings!  Tell someone at home what you have learnt about dot painting and its origins. Later in the week, we developed our map skills. We used a map key to identify physical features on a map of Australia.
