WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

Week beginning 21.04.25

Our Learning

What a lovely first week back we have had! It has involved voltage, budgets and theme parks.

English

In English this week, we have continued and concluded our playscripts unit of work. This has involved writing and editing playscripts for the adventure stories we produced last term. We enjoyed performing each other's playscripts today!

Maths -

We have continued our geometry work this week, learning about the properties of a circle, drawing shapes accurately and identifying and drawing nets of 3D shapes. We will complete our final unit of the White Rose curriculum next week.

Science -

As we enter the summer term, our focus now shifts to 'STEM'. Currently, we are learning about electricity. This week, we discovered what is meant by voltage and conducted an investigation to see how voltage affects various components in a circuit. After investigating, we wrote a conclusion to explain our findings and the scientific reasons behind this.

Homework -

Children have not been given any homework this week. Instead, we ask that they focus on areas of the curriculum they are less confident in to prepare them for the upcoming SATs. We also ask that they practise their spellings, times tables and read at home as much as possible alongside this.
