What a great first week back we have had in Kingfishers! Read below to see what we have been up to.
Maths
We have continued our maths topic on 'Measuring Amounts' and this week we looked at volume and capacity. We discussed what these terms mean and then looked at how we could apply them to different questions.

English
We have started a new unit, using Dog Man to inspire our writing of a comic strip. This week we studied the features of a comic strip and looked at the heroes and villains in Chapter 1 of the book. We discussed what our main characters, Dogman and Petey, are like on the insides and outsides. We moved around the classroom, sharing ideas with each other and compiled our ideas together.

We then planned our own evil invention that Petey used to try and get rid of Dog Man.

PSHE
February is LGBT+ month! We celebrated different kinds of family and looked at the story 'And Tango Makes Three.' The children loved looking at Roy and Silo sitting on their egg and patiently waiting for it to hatch.
We looked at different LGBT+ celebrities and discussed how people's differences should be celebrated!
