WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

14th Feb

Can you believe it is the end of half term already.  It has flown by and been a super busy one too.

We are well into our Brazil topic now and have begun to look at the human geography of this fascinating country. We have compared the population of the UK to Brazil using data and then created a poster about Brazil’s land use and the deforestation that is happening in the rainforest. This topic will continue after half term and run until we break up for Easter.

We had a brilliant computing lesson around Safer Internet Day and became scam detectives. We have had our final split year group PSHE session this week and will go back to Otters PSHE lessons after half term, where we will focusing on ‘bullying matters’.

In English we have completed our explanation texts about the Amazon River, the children have all worked brillaintly, and have incorporated all of the features within their writing. These are now published on our writing wall  in class.

In Maths, we have completed our fractions unit and have moved onto decimals now. This week we started looking at the equivalence of fractions and deciamls in particular with tenths and hundredths today.

We hope you have a great, well deserved,  rest over the half term.  Remember Monday 24th Feb is an inset day, so closed to the children.
