WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

W/C 12.05.25

We had an extra busy week this week in the Owls Class!

In English, we were planning our next installment of Spy Fox! The children created a new evil villain character and a new mission for Spy Fox to embark on. Next week, we will be writing our Hot Writes based on all of this week's planning and I can't wait to read them!

In Maths, we continued our work on telling the time, focusing on telling the time to five minute intervals and converting hours to minutes. I have assigned a quiz on Mathshed if you'd like your child to gain some extra practise with this.

In Science and DT, we applied our knowledge of living things and their habitats by designing and creating shoebox habitats! The children did a fantastic job, really thinking about the conditions of their given habitat and which animals and plants would reside there. Take a look for yourself...

We were then of course invited to join the Year 2 Class at Repton Preparatory School on Friday 16th for a 'Woodland Adventure'! We had a fantastic time and are very grateful to have been given the opportunity to use their wonderful facilities and meet new friends. The children took part in activities such as den building, climbing trees, making leaf crowns, building natural marble runs and toasting marshmallows to make smores. We finished our day with a picnic lunch on the field. The sun was shining and it was a lovely way to end our week!
