Another very busy week in Kingfishers! Read below to see what we have been up to...
English
This week we have continued our learning on our stimulus 'The Dream Giver.' We have worked hard to create our own characters that could give dreams to people. The children worked hard to include expanded noun phrases, adverbs and fronted adverbials to describe how their character looks and behaves.
Maths
Our maths topic currently is money. We have been working hard on converting pounds into pence and vice versa. Some of the reasoning questions have been quite challenging but Kingfishers have worked incredibly hard on these.
Science
As our new science topic is on plants, this week we planted some cress. We discussed the different conditions which plants need to grow and have conducted an experiment. We have 5 different plants growing: without water, without light, without air, without soil and a plant with all the above. We will be checking up on our plants weekly.
