Our learning

We have completed yet another week of the busy Summer term! It has involved buzzer games, adverts and debates!

English -

After finishing our stories at the beginning of the week, we have moved on to 'Discussion Texts'. So far, this has involved recapping the features of discussion texts and brainstorming ideas for writing. We will write and edit our discussion texts next week.

DT - 

As part of our STEM project, we have been designing and making buzzer games this week. The first thing we had to do was create a net which could be used to form the base of our game. After creating and decorating the base, we moved on to shaping our wire and building an electrical circuit to allow our buzzer game to work! After making our buzzer game, we wrote a selection of radio adverts. We each carefully considered the selling points of our buzzer games to help us promote our product and encourage customers to buy it. We will be evaluating the researching, designing and making process early next week.

Homework - 

Children have not been given a sheet of homework this week. Instead, we ask that they read at home and practise their spellings/times tables. It is also encouraged that they practise their lines/songs for the Y6 performance
