Well, what a busy penultimate week we have had before we break up for Easter. Read on to find out more…
In English the children created their persuasive letter to a logging company, trying to encourage them to stop chopping down the Amazon Rainforest. There were some superb examples of hyperboles, rules of three and emotive language. Some superb examples of persuasive writing were created, well done Puffins.
In Maths Year 4 have been learning about finding equivalent fractions on a number line, as well as adding fractions and adding fractions and mixed numbers. Can you explain this True or False question to your grown up?
Year 5 have begun looking at perimeter. This started with first looking at the perimeter of rectangles and then looking at the perimeter of rectilinear shapes. Can you explain this True or False question to your grown up?
PSHE saw us think about homophobia and what sort of advice we could give to someone who was experiencing this. Some wonderful words of wisdom with some really kind thoughts were presented by the Puffins, which made me very proud.
In Computing we carried on with our Stop Frame Animation unit, which, this week, saw some incredibly stop frame animation creations. The thought that the children put into the backgrounds, the ideas and their camera work was brilliant! Watch out Aardman!
I hope you have a lovely weekend!
Stay safe
