English
This week we started our new English topic which is persuasive adverts. We started off the week by creating a picture of the circus and drawing the different acts that we could find inside. Throughout the week, we looked at the different features of adverts and how these persuade you to buy a product or visit a place. We discussed imperative verbs, rhetorical questions, exaggeration and alliteration. The children worked really hard to incorporate these into an advert for the circus.
Maths
This week we started our multiplication topic. We started off by looking at sharing and grouping which the class did really well with. As the week commenced, we looked at counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. The children tackled some challenging problem-solving questions.
Scheme of work
PE
In PE we have started Ball Skills (Wednesday) and Yoga (Thursdays). We learnt some interesting yoga poses this week which we all enjoyed.
