Maths
In maths, we have been estimating numbers on a number line and comparing objects and numbers. Be sure to complete the assigned Maths Shed quizzes to gain further practise of these two skills!
English
In English this week we have been learning all about non-chronological reports! We have learned about the main features of a report and what a glossary is. We also started gathering information and facts ready for the reports that we will write next week - reports on Queen Victoria. We learned some 'VIP words' that we might need to include in our reports. Check them out below! Can you read them to your grown up and explain what they mean?
History
We've had a very exciting week this week in history! Our first lesson of the week saw us learning about and creating Victorian toys. We made a cup and ball and a zoetrope. Our second lesson involved the Victorian performance and workshop with The Little Theatre Company. We had so much fun learning about what life was like in the Victorian era with Ms Grimm and a Victorian maid. What was school like? What jobs did they have? What jobs did a maid have to do? Take a look at our pictures below!
