WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

22.05.2026

I can't quite believe it is the final week of Summer Term 1 already! There have been lots of tired children this week so I think everyone is quite ready for a break next week.

In English, we have been planning and writing our anger metaphor poems. We have been so impressed with how creative everyone has been in describing the journey of anger by comparing it to different weather types. There has been some fantastic use of figurative language.

In Maths, we have now completed our unit on time. There is still some confusion when reading the time on analogue clocks in particular so if you get any opportunity at home to discuss this with your children then that would be fantastic.

There is no homework for the half term. With the multiplication check quickly approaching, please continue to regularly practise the multiplication tables. The children only have 6 seconds to answer each question so they need to make sure that they can confidently answer any question up to 12 x 12.
