WE RESPECT, WE TAKE PRIDE, WE SUCCEED

12.06.2026

Well done to all of the Otters who have now completed their multiplication checks. We are so proud of everyone and we know how hard each of you have worked on your multiplication tables this year. There has been some spectacular progress and your knowledge of the tables really will benefit you as they move up to upper KS2.

In Maths this week, we have completed our unit on shape. We have looked at polygons, lines of symmetry and completing symmetric figures. Our homework this week is on triangles. We need to try and remember the properties of the different types of triangles and their names!

In English, we have been so impressed with the playscripts that have been written. It is quite a different type of writing for us to have a go at and everyone has made a huge effort to include the features in their writing.

In Science, we have thought about pitch. There was a big misconception between pitch and volume of sounds. We have learnt that the vibrations in a high pitch sound are faster than the vibrations of a low pitch sound. We have also thought about why sounds become fainter when we move further away from the sound source.
