What a good week we have had in Kingfishers. Read below to see what we have been up to:
Maths
In maths we have been comparing group sizes and looking at how we can split things into different groups. We used the key vocabulary 'more' and 'left over' to help us to explain our answers. We used cubes to build different group sizes.
We also have been looking at comparing group sizes and looking at which groups are bigger and which groups are smaller. We have been using the words 'more than, 'less than' and 'equal to' in our explanations.
English
This week we have started our new book which is Oi! Get off our Train. We looked at sequencing the story and we spoke about why the different animals wanted to get onto the train.
We then looked at different vocabulary and matched up images with a range of words. We discussed what nouns were again and identified which words were nouns.
History
In history we have been looking at the jobs that people did 100 years ago. We sorted jobs into different groups and then even made our own finger prints.
