Rainbow Sweets

We loved to see the changes that happened to the water when we added warm water to sweets in a circle around the edge of a plate. The sweets dissolved and their colours spread into the water and created a rainbow effect. When we moved the plates, sadly the colours joined together to create one brown colour! We learned that all the colours mixed together make brown.
