This week in Maths, we have been thinking about multiples and factors. We have also been identifying the common multiples or factors of given numbers. On Friday, we looked at prime numbers. We know that prime numbers only have 2 factors - 1 and itself. In Year 5, we need to be able to identify prime numbers up to 100.
In English, we have been looking at fronted adverbials and modal verbs. The homework this week is linked to our learning on modal verbs. We have planned our own instructions for a sport of our choice and on Friday, we did some shared writing to write the introduction to a set of instructions for playing volleyball.
In topic, we have looked at the gods that the ancient Maya believed in and worshipped. In volleyball, we looked at where we might need to use a dig shot in a rally.
