In Maths this week, we have been learning about squared and cubed numbers. We have a great knowledge of squared numbers! Cubed numbers are something that we will keep working on. We have also been working on multiplying and dividing by 10, 100 and 1,000. We did a lot of practical work to support our understanding this week and everyone has done a brilliant job!
In English, we have written and edited our instructions. We chose our own sports to write about and it was good to see such a variety across the class. The use of fronted adverbials and modal verbs was excellent.
In Computing this week we have looked at our health and well-being and how this affected by the online world. We created some fantastic posters with top tips on how to look after our physical and mental health. We also created posters in PSHE this week where we looked at neurodiversity and celebrating different brains. These will be displayed in our classroom when completed. For our final netball lesson we did an Otters tournament and in science we finished our properties of materials unit by learning about reversible and irreversible changes.
We’ve also been busy making our Christmas cards ready for order soon! Some super designs and very creative.
Thank you all so much for your support with our Harvest Service on Thursday. We hope that you enjoyed our class song.
In topic, we have looked at Maya childhood and we have thought about some of the similarities and differences compared to our childhood. We have also looked at some Maya artwork and jewellery and considered what different artefacts would have been used for.
