Today our EYFS children took part in a Great Fire of London drama workshop to support their learning about this historical event. The children had great fun acting out the events and learning about the lives of the key people during this time. This active learning and becoming immersed in the story helped the children to remember more.
Mrs Riley and Mrs Wain had the pleasure of taking 8 children to the Maple Tree Cafe today to visit Pudsey Bear on Children in Need Day. They were given a goodie bag with sweets and Pudsey themed activities. They also enjoyed a drink of juice and a cake. Of course, the main attraction was meeting Pudsey Bear himself which was a real treat! Those who wanted to had an individual photo with Pudsey too. Thank you to to the Maple Tree cafe for inviting us.
Yesterday our Eco Council planted some saplings that we had been given. The council decided that they wanted to plant them in the outdoor learning area at the back of Puffins Class. The children really ejoyed doing this and they did a great job too!
